So you don't have an item that you can sell for lots of money and you can't use the mini pig for a status symbol. Oh well, you'll get over it.

You really don't have a clue what I'm talking about, do you? Simply: Many people -worked- for a mini pig, a lot of time and a lot of effort. THEN every single person gets a pig for nothing. Now how on earth is that fair? I take my time seriously, not my internet thank you very much. And don't give me the rubbish about wasting my time opening fortunes, thousands upon thousands of people did it, as it was the only way to get a pig and should have remained so.

So Oblivion, now that you've gotten what you're pissed off about said, why not tell what you wanted to happen instead?

This one I agree. They made mini pig gold that is supposed to mean its rare, but they should had just made it blue instead.

OP has a lot of good points.

I think a lot of the problems he raises stem from Anet not making it clear how the event plays out beforehand, thus leaving players in the dark and having to speculate based on nothing about the best course of action. Then when their speculations result in frustration, it's understandable.

Events would go a lot smoother if Anet was 100% clear about everything related to the event before the fact.

See the thing is, they try to bring surprises and anticipation as to what's going to happen. But I've got routed..everytime they've done that..because I didn't know what to expect. But that's okay, didnt' waste time doing what I didn't want too with this event. Just wish the ending was more exciting.

Omg people this is a free event that gave out nice free items and people are complaining. I personally love every part of this event. Although I do wished we had an ending like the Dragon Festival (running orbs FTW) I enjoyed this event alot. I also liked how everyone got presents then we could actually party. In all other events when presents spawned afterwards no one actually partied or danced, they just scrambled for presents.

Well thats my opinion, thanks so much for this event Anet!

Welcome to life, it's not always fair.

I spent many hours farming every single one of the items for the chefs and I was the only person in my district that turned in every single item. How is that fair?

Oh wait. I chose to spend my time farming those items.

Yes, chose, based on the information we had at the time, presuming they would be spent on something worthwhile. Personally, IN MY OPINION I do not think that's fair. Everything I have said is in my opinion, that's what forums are all about. People will have different opinions, get over it. The last thing to do is to start insulting me personally.

I don't know why everytime there is an event people have to make a rage thread. JUST STOP! I for one really enjoyed the event, I spent most of the time trying to get a mini pig just by doing the quests and trading for the fortunes until I found out about the R/P/S in LA that was fun. I didn't get a pig from the fortunes even after doing all the quests on 3 of my chars. But you know what I didn't really care, some of the stuff was fun to do and the quests were enjoyable. But w/e I guess people always have to complain about free stuff. I was glad to recieve a mini pig at the end of the event, but I think that they should change the color of it from gold to white, because it isn't rare anymore when everyone gets one. and I spent the event with friends and had a blast. So you go ahead and complain about these events, because Anet reads the fan forums and they just won't throw events like this if all people do is complain.

Argh I'm so sick of replies like this. Please don't insult me by calling my thread a rage thread, I actually think it was quite canculated. Again, it is MY OPINION GET OVER IT! Anet throw these events to get people hooked on the game, they'll keep throwing them, don't worry. Read my previous comments about "free stuff", I can't be bothered reapeting myself again for posts like yours.

It is a rage though. It's clear from your first post that you're quite angry because it did not go your way. If that's not a rage, I dunno what is.

That being said, you asked for our thoughts. Now that you're getting them and they don't agree with yours, you're getting pissed.

I liked the whole event overall.

The only real gripe I have was about the chef ingrediants. Farming some of those items was a pain and the "personal" return was pitiful and it still doesnt guarantee that you'd get a mini pig since the district could fail. I would have liked it better if you got a mini pig just for having all the ingrediants to one dish.

I STILL dont have a mini pig after hours of farming. I had horrible luck with the fortunes. And had bad luck with a bad district that failed. I had all the ingrediants that I spent hours getting and still didnt get a pig.

But I dont see how the OP could complain about everything about the event. It wasnt perfect but it wasnt nearly as bad as he made it out to be.

Actually I'm mostly getting pissed at your comments, as you insult me personally. Most other comments are appreciated. And if you think my post is a rage then you have no idea.... ITS CALLED AN OPINION! They're not always positive or everyone would have the same opinion.

Basically we're seeing people who didn't get a pig being happy and saying the event was great. Just because you can't see it from other people's point of views doesnt mean you're right.

I think this event was pretty good overall and people unknowingly just have to be blown away even more than the last event because their senses have been dulled and theyre spoiled.
Don't quite understand what you're saying, how does being spoiled effect this at all? Um... senses dulled?

I think the event was better than I made it for myself. I spent most of my small amount of time on gw this weekend farming tokens for something I could have bought at any time which I get for free at the end of the event and didnt enjoy the rest of the event as much.

If you want to scream "It's my opinion" when someone disagree with you, why did you bother to share it?
